Many of you know that we had our ultrasound this last Monday, and we found out that we're having another boy. I know I should be greatful that I'm having a baby and just hope he's healthy, yadda, yadda, but I was a little sad. I guess I've been hoping for a girl since I was a little girl myself playing house. I just never had any sisters to share clothes with or do any girl stuff with, and I did love it, but I always secretly longed for a sister. I always wanted to have a daughter to show the finer things in life like ballet classes or art and things. I told my dad on the phone the other day that instead I get to deal with a house full of farts and sports. My dad gently said, "Well, Shelle, girls fart too." Thanks for the perspective dad.
So this brings me to the point of my post. I hadn't really thought of any boy names because I though for sure we'd be having a little girl with curly hair named Hazel. I want to find out if anyone has any suggestions. There's only one name that really stands out to me right now, and I'm not sure I'm in love with that one either. Let me know what ideas any of you have for a boy name.

Do you like traditional names or slightly less traditional? Meanings behind them or just cute? When we were trying to name Ben, I fell in love with a few names, like Owen, Jackson, Austin...I like Miles, too...and Andrew (Drew is cute)
Steve likes more biblical names: Abraham, Peter, Nathaniel...
Good luck!! You're going to love raising boys! Besides, they'll be sweet!
Congrats on the boy... you'll be excited soon! Just think how much money you'll save :)
Congrats on a little boy....but I totally know what you're saying about a little girl. Espcially since you've figured out: there way more cute girl clothes out there than boy stuff.
But if you have another one as cute as the one you've got...hooray for adorable little boys!
Finding a boy name was hard for us. I really love the name William or Will (but it doesn't really work with Willard. Will Willard). And I also love the name Andrew or Drew (but our cousin already snagged it)
Good luck!
Congratulations! Jonah is so lucky that he'll have a little brother to pal around with. Not sure on the names. I have a brother named Miles and also a brother named Andrew and they both like their names (Miles especially since it was more unusual growing up). I've avoided all of my brothers' names (Justin and Bradley too) for political reasons - they each think they're the favorite!
Names? Hmmmm . . . Dan and I have always enjoyed the name Balthazar. And I'm only kind of kidding. Ha!
Michelle - Congrats on the little boy!!! I know you feel a little disappointed... just imagine what good buddies he will be with Jonah. Amy said a bunch of good names - I like Ben, Owen, Drew. Friends I have who had a boy recently named him Zane. Also Wes (Wesley). My next boy (if I have any more :) will be Cole... but that won't be for at least two or three years so you can steal that one if you want. I also like Taylor, or Tyler :)
Thanks for your message the other day. We are FINALLY getting settled and back into this time zone. Let's hang out this week.
congrats on the boy, I can understnad being a little dissapointed, I was excited to have another girl so Kate would have a sister so it will be nice for Jonah to have a brother. I like the names mentioned already, especially Owen, I also like Oliver and Warren.
I can give you one zillion boys names from here at the MTC - any name you can think of!!!!! Owen was my dad's name!! Holden is cute. How about Jake, then you can have a Jonah and Jake just like Heather. Then there's Tristan (Lisa likes that one), well, I could go on and on. There are about 1500 here right now.
There's Parker, Anson, Ammon, Carver,Max, william, Daniel, Helton, Paulo, Blake, Samuel (my personal favorite), Taylor, Landon, Kyle,PukePuke, just to name a few. Sione, likiliki, Herson, Andrew. Shall I continue? Oh, Vlash, Ardit, Elian, Gledys - They are all Albanian.
Hey Susan! I didn't even know you had a blog. I had to research to find out who was leaving the comments. Those are all really good suggestions. Who needs baby names book when you're around. I actually really liked the name Micah, but I didn't want to copy Heather too much. I think we're thinking Ashton now. You never know.
Seriously, Michelle, I thought you would already have decided on Baron Von. Or Hercumer. Really. :)
When are you due? You've gotten a lot of great suggestions. I also like Asher.
Miss you!
Two boys! I know how you feel but I have the two girls thing going. How about the name Seth? Congratulations Michelle
My most recent nephews born have great names- Oliver, Jasper, Levi, Harper.
Ashton is a great name and I like Owen and Miles too. Good luck making the decision!
Hi Michelle! I don't think I knew you had a blog, but if I did, sorry it took me so long to actually find it! I was going to say that maybe you can continue with the biblical theme...I notice someone else also made that suggestion. Some non-old-sounding names might be: Isaac, Joshua, etc. By the way, I'm expecting, too! End of August. We don't know what it is yet.
